Introduction to Zentangle

Find out what Zentangle is all about.  Learn about the Zentangle method as you create 2 traditional Zentangle tiles with 7 different tangles.  These beautiful pen-and-ink creations, drawn entirely with structured patterns will surprise and enchant you.  For some it’s art, for others meditation, for others something else. This class provides you with the basic knowledge of the Zentangle process.  The class fee includes high quality supply kit containing all the necessary art materials so you can experience all the ways that Zentangle can positively change your life.

Prerequisites

This class is a prerequisite for all other classes. Once you have taken the Intro to Zentangle class, you can attend again for no charge if there is room in the class.

Introduction to Zendala

A Zendala incorporates the structure and concepts of a mandala using the patterns of zentangle.  Zendalas are created using high quality hand-pressed circular tiles.  The tile brings together Zentangle and mandala art to create a beautiful Zentangle-inspired work of art. This class introduces the use of Zentangle patterns and techniques to create a mandala.  The use of the repeating patterns in the zendala will create a deep sense of  calm and focus.  You will learn how to create the repetitive geometric structures of mandalas and then learn several zentangle patterns to use with your zendala.
